I appreciate your personal involvement in the US military. Jews who enlist in the US military understand the parameters and details of their position…including the likely potential to participate in war.

You are offended that someone could think that these Jewish boys and girls that sign up for the US military…expect to go to war!

Since the US has a volunteer military, I always wonder why people would sign up. What drives someone to participate in war.

I certainly applaud these Jewish people’s effort to defend the US. I also see the lack of Jewish Clergy as being a real problem.

From my perspective as a non militaristic realist, I understand war happens. I also understand that as the US moves to a non human combat force with drones and robots, the old face of war will change.

I must also ask each any every Jew that is in the the US military if the US attacked Israel…would you participate? If yes……then to me you would be Jewish by birth only. If no…then perhaps you should be in the IDF.

But then again, being in the middle of the Galut, I will admit to a confusion for the US that grows daily. As we enter the Christ-Mass season, my disdain for the “season” also grows daily.

spanky Sir you sound like you are surrounded by fine friends and family.I always like to hear about our servicemen and women who have friends and family members who project them forth in honor and recognition.I will always have words and prayers first, for all of my brothers and sisters in the military who have served before me.They represent as being some of the original architechts of freedom. Warriors of Law and order.Thank You for your words they are needed and much appreciated.

Always remember when you are serving, even tho it may seem you have been abandoned, you truly have not. Not only is G-d watching over you, but many of us sitting silent are praying on a daily basis for your safe return home to your love ones. Also know that even tho we are not seen by your eyes, our eyes have the tears knowing the trials and tribulations you endure. Also, know that you are the HONOR of society that all nations of men see. Keep your head proudly held high. With men and women like yourself protecting the future, the people of the nation can rest peacefully.
