Incline Your ear to my prayer, quickly rescue me, be to me a rock of strength, a fortress of defense to deliver me. For You are my rock and my fortress, and for the sake of Your name – guide me and lead me.”
 
King David composed this psalm when he was fleeing from Saul, who was intent on killing him. Instinctually, when a person is in mortal danger he falls into  a trembling fear, thinking of only his own survival. Whereas, King David expressed his absolute trust in HaShem – even as he was running for his life.
 
“In You, HaShem, I have taken refuge, let me never be ashamed,” that is, I am confident that on the merit of my trust in HaShem I will never be put to shame. The dire straits that threatened King David did not in any way compromise his believe that HaShem would never abandon him. What’s more, he knew that if he strengthened his faith in the midst of this precarious time, HaShem would surely deliver him.

MY COMMENTARY:

EVERY XTIAN AND MUSLIM HAS FREE CHOICE, TO RESPECT THE JEWS  or NOT TO.  BASED ON HISTORY AS RECENT AS YESTERDAY. I HAVE ONLY MET A MAJORITY OF DISRESPECT TO THE JEWISH BELIEFS.,,,

 TORAH TEACHES JEWS TO RESPECT ALL PEOPLES and NOT TO LIE DOWN AND BE STEPPED ON. SADLY MANY JEWS HAVENT LEARN THIS. AND HAPPILY MANY LIKE MYSELF HAVE .

THE FOLLOWINIG IS TO THE XTIANS WHO HAVE NOT LEARNED THE MEANING OF RESPECT ACCORDING TO THE DEFINITIONS AS OUTLINED VERY SIMPLY IN THE 1st AND 2nd COMMANDMENTS.

At least 41 dead as earthquake jolts eastern Turkey

 A strong earthquake killed 41 villagers in eastern Turkey early on Monday, local officials said, as rescuers worked to free survivors trapped under the rubble.

The quake woke residents from their sleep when it struck at 4:32 AM local time, centred on the sparsely populated area of Basyurt in Elazig province. The quake had a magnitude of 6.0 and was followed by 30 minor aftershocks.

SURPRISE SURPRISE EGYPT IS CELEBRATING A 19st CENTURY SYNAGOGUE

Cairo, Egypt – The 19th-century synagogue of Maimonides in Cairo’s ancient Jewish quarter reopened Sunday after a nearly two-year restoration by Egyptian authorities, participants at the opening told AFP.

 They said some 150 people attended the opening, including Yitzhak Levanon and Margaret Scobey, the ambassadors of Israel and the United States respectively.

 About a dozen rabbis from Israel and abroad also were at the ceremony.

 When I first set foot here only five years ago, the synagogue was in ruins and its roof opened to the sky”, said Rabbi Andrew Baker of the American Jewish Committee (AJC).

 Baker praised Egyptian authorities for recognising that Jewish religious sites are also an integral part of Egyptian heritage and Egyptian culture, and for leading the restoration project, the AJC said in a statement.

 Egyptian officials were absent from the ceremony, and Culture Minister Faruq Hosni explained that was because Sunday’s opening was a purely religious ceremony

The USS New Jersey BB-62 has finally docked land and we are in normal routine once again.
We were sea bound for 10 weeks for crew training exercises. We do this a few times a year.
I would like to pen these experiences out on Jews with views. I have some crew who would also like to participate. I was serious when I explained to the blog about conjuring up the support and awareness’s for all of our good men and women who are enlisted into whatever services and their families and friends.
Our field training opps were intense this time around, as are the momentum of terrorism and violent actions on behalf of our antisocial counterparts.For this reason we must and always be prepared.Sometimes while achieving this, there is time and distance between us and our loved ones.We are never too far behind.
It’s always time to keep up with careful support and genuine morale boosting for our brothers and sisters serving this great country , Israel and abroad.
I was chatting with Maurice and he said he planned on refreshing his page also.
